A photo blog is almost exactly like a blog, except without much text. Its basically a ‘scrapbook’ online, full of photos and captions and such. You can share your photos or make your photos public by posting them to a ‘photoblog’ online. Over the years, photoblogging (or phlogging) has gained momentum because society, as we know it, is getting lazier and lazier. Haha ;)

Exploring Web Editors
A web editor is a program designed to create and edit text files. The relasionship between a web editor and HTML is that in order to edit a text file, you have to open it and edit it with an HTML format.
Dreamweaver is a software that empowers designers to design their own websites. Three important features of Dreamweaver are that first, Dreamweaver enables designers to virtually design their own website online! Second, Dreamweaver allows you to open your webpage side-by-side in two different browsers (eg. Firefox and Safari), which allows you to see which browser you would rather prefer for your website. Thirdly, you can play FLV videos with Dreamweaver, and once you upload it to your website you can easily edit it and change it to the format of your choice.
Two more examples of web editors are Opera Dragonfly and SeaMonkey Composer.
The difference between a website and a webpage is that a website has not only HTML, but the hyperlinks lead to other webpages. Websites are generally more complex than websites.
A web server is a program that delivers/provides websites. A web server itself hosts websites and sends out web content. You need it to create a website because a web server is the thing that gives out the information: pages, HTML, etc. So you need it to create a website.
A domain name is a string of letters and numbers that are used to name things on the internet (eg organizations, webpages, and computers). The parts of a domain name are

Exploring HTML
1) What is HTML?
HTML is a computer mark-up program created to help design websites. HTML stands for Hyperlinks, Text, Media, and Language.
2)Why do we need HTML for creating web pages?
No webpage is complete without HTML because HTML is essential to a webpage: you CANNOT have a webpage without a language (in this case its HTML) and in order to have an interesting webpage, it has to have text, media and hyperlinks.
3)Did you find HTML a good option for creating your digital portfolio?
Yes I did, because this format is easy to use and also easy to learn.
4) What do you think about your first site created? What are the strengths, what could you have done better?
I actually like my first site. I like the colors, information, and pictures that I chose. I think that I could have spent more time figuring out exactly how to correctly and creativly format my pictures and text. Oh well. Theres always next time!

Working with Blogs
1) What is a blog?
A blog is basically a journal online, complete with HTML (hyperlinks, text, media and language).
2) Why do we use blogs?
We use blogs to post text, hyperlinks, video, pictures and other items of that type.Blogs can be used to update your personal life or just your status. A good example of blog is Facebook. On facebook, you can update your status, upload pictures or videos, and put hyperlinks to other sites (eg. YouTube or Twitter).
3) Did you find a blog a good option for communicating with teachers and peers?
Not really. I don't exactly see the point of a blog when you just see your teachers and peers every day. As for the teachers, we don't really HAVE to post every single piece of work that we have done, espiecally since we can just show the item to them at school the next day. As for the peers, blogs are mostly helpful. Every single person that I know has facebook, and most of them go on it for an hour or more every day. I know I do ;). Blogs are very useful to anti-social people or people that like telling people what they are doing every single second of the day. Haha. But no, seriously blogs I think are of more use to your peers than your teachers.

What is a Digital Portfolio?
Three important features of a digital portfolio are pictures, text, and videos. If you do not have these three elements in your digital portfolio, then your intended audience will think that your portfolio is extremly boring. One advantage of a digital portfolio is that you can access it anytime, from anywhere. However, that can also be a disadvantage of a digital portfolio because everyone else in the world can access it and intentionally plagerize from it.
One sample I can give is a digital portfolio called 'Creating an Electronic Portfolio'
http://cte.jhu.edu/techacademy/fellows/Spencer/webquest/lasindex.html
The content of this digital portfolio is all about how you can create an electronic portfolio easily and what you will need. The blogger that set up this digital portfolio set it up so that it looks like a scientific write-up. I think that this design makes the digital portfolio look boring. The text types chosen are not creative (it is all the same font) even though the author made an attempt to change the font color. There all also little/none images on this website. One advantage of this website is that all the information posted on it is releveant and helpful to what I was looking for. Overall, though, I did not like this digital portfolio very much.
Another sample of a digital portfolio is one called 'Electronic Portfolios: Students, Teachers, and Life Long Learners'
http://eduscapes.com/tap/topic82.htm
The content of this digital portfolio is about this school educating their own students and staff about what a digital portfolio is and how it can be used. The entire portfolio included hyperlinks with the members websites and links. I think this is
